Welcome to the Information Page for the ...
Bells of the North are proud to present the 33nd Annual Midwest Morris Ale in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota on Memorial weekend, May 24-27, 2013.
Site
Camp Saint Croix is an easy two miles off of I-94 at Exit 2 in Hudson, Wisconsin. The camp address is 532 County Road F, Hudson, WI 54016 and is easily found in Google Maps and probably most GPSs. The camp website is http://www.ymcatwincities.org/camps/camp_st_croix/ You can also check http://www.511wi.gov/ for Wisconsin road conditions.
Directions to the camp
The 2013 Mid-West Morris Ale will be held at YMCA Camp St. Croix. The camp is located just south of I-94 in Hudson, Wisconsin. Only 20 minutes east of St. Paul, MN.
Arrival Time
Registration opens at 3:00 pm. Please do not arrive before 3pm as we will be busy getting the camp ready!
Parking
There are three parking "lots" at camp. The largest lot ("main parking") is directly south past the circle drive. To the north and south of the circle drive are two rather small parking areas. In addition, we will be parking cars along the roadway coming into and through the camp. Parking on the road will be on the east side only and will be marked. We will fill in road parking starting from the South Parking lot, heading back north toward the main entrance. There will be people to assist you in finding a spot, but assume if you are arriving on the later side that you will be parking along the road. There will be no parking in the main circle drive as we need this area for the buses. In all cases, please be mindful as you park and not take up more space than is necessary. Campers and trailers will be directed to the South Parking lot for entrance to the tenting area.
Lodging
All cabins and lodges have electricity and can be heated if need be. Please bring whatever bedding or sleeping bag that will keep you comfortable at night. Flashlights are also strongly recommended.
Smoking is not allowed in any structure. There will be a couple of smoking areas set up outside – please refer to the camp map for their locations.
Schedule
An online calendar of the weekend schedule is available. Users of Google Calendar have the option of subscribing to this calendar if they wish.
Ale Booklets
In the interest of trying to save paper, we will only be printing two ale brochures per team. We will also be posting a PDF of the booklet on the website for anyone to download or print their own.
Silent Auction
Once again, we will host a silent auction to raise money for the scholarship fund. Please bring your donations for the silent auction. Items will be put out as we receive them. The silent auction will end at 7:25 pm on Sunday night.
Quilt Raffle
Once again, we will raffle the Morris Traveling Quilt to the next recipient. The winner of the raffle will be awarded the Morris Quilt for one year along with the quilt’s journal. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Travel/Pick-up Info
Members of the Twin Cities Morris teams will provide transport from the airport or train station or bus station to the ale site. But to do this – we need your pick-up and drop-off information! Please provide this information on your online registration form.
Travel arrangements will be communicated directly to the people needing arrangements.
